David is a current Graduate Student in at Stanford University studying Biomedical Informatics. He is currently developing a platform to integrate Electronic Health Record Systems with Linked Open Data around the web to create a comprehensive graph database that will link patients based on physiological and biochemical factors not described within their Health Record. This new system can be used to learn underlying causal factors for disease progression by applying simple machine learning algorithms.
Prior to beginning work with Biomedical Data Science, David served in the United States Army as an Intelligence Analyst for 6 years. He has seen first hand the power of graphical databases to hone in the right information from a web of otherwise disparate data. He has used this knowledge as an inspiration for his current work.
