Dr. Luca Brunelli, MD, PhD completed his MD at the University of Genoa Medical School and PhD at the University of Turin. He is Professor of Pediatrics, and Director of the Neonatal Genomics Program in the Division of Neonatology at the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is also a member of the Steering Committee of the Newborn Screening Translational Research Network (NBSTRN). He has published in many journals including Circulation Research, Molecular and Cellular Biology, and Nature Methods. His current work focuses on the utilization of genomics approaches in the newborn period and beyond for the early identification of rare genetic diseases.
