Tom Porter is the Deputy Director, Northwest Region at UNICEF U.S.A. where he serves on a regional leadership team tasked with raising awareness and building support for UNICEF’s critical work to reach the world’s most vulnerable children. Tom has more than 15 years’ experience in the nonprofit sector, most recently leading the development team at the start-up Wiki Education Foundation during a high growth phase and through the launch of the Wikipedia Year of Science. Prior to this, Tom led the corporate partnership programs at SFJAZZ, in San Francisco, California and the Yellowstone Park Foundation (now Yellowstone Forever), in Bozeman, Montana. Tom began his journey at UNICEF USA as fundraiser and runner on Team UNICEF Boston Marathon 2017, where he developed a deep respect for UNICEF’s work. Since 2013, he has hosted the radio program “Jazz at the Center” on San Francisco’s KPOO FM.
